I went to the dentist on last, last Friday. Oh, before that for anyone who doesn't know, I wore braces for 3 years during my high school time(Ugh. Painful period). Well, I was thinking of taking out my retainer because my previous dentist (back in my hometown) told me before that I can take out my fixed retainer on my upper teeth after 5 years. So, it has already been 5 years and I am kinda excited to take it out. You know like saying goodbye to my teenage life.
But, the dentist told me, "Do you know what happened after you take it out? The teeth will still shift their position even after 5 years. I advised you to take it out only after you get married, or graduate or have kids, etc. You can take it out, but I do not know how wide the gap between your teeth would be." Since I already have a little gap between my two front teeth, I cannot imagine what would happen if I took it out. Of course, the dentist gave me two options: either I stick with my fixed and permanent retainer forever and have to get my teeth clean by professional twice in a year or I can take the retainer out but I have to wear those removable retainer every night for the rest of my life :S I used to wear that for both my upper and lower teeth but it gets too uncomfortable and painful that I stop using it. In the end, I stick with my built-in retainer for now. I still don't know about its future.
So, I guess I will be stuck with retainer for the rest of my life. Bummer, huh? :(

Happy Birthday :)
18.06.2011.I'm officially 24th!
I love my birthday, can I have birthday everyday please? When else can you feel so special by getting all those attention you will never get on a normal day? Haha.
Wake up in the morning, and surprise to receive birthday wishes on my phone. Thank you so much for those who text-message me! And don't forget about the most popular way to wish happy birthday nowadays - Facebook. I probably get the most notifications in one day than a year and my wall are bombarded with all these wishes and love. Oh and by Twitter too.
Call me weird but I love to count the total wishes that I received from my family, relatives, friends and friends I don't really know well in Facebook.

Even though I didn't celebrate my birthday this year, but I still feel the love all around me. Thank you so much, you all. You never know how much it meant to me and how it brighten up my day :)

Sunday, June 19, 2011 / A Good Experience
My early birthday present was probably getting the call from Cleo Malaysia to be one of the print model for a skincare advertorial. So, I went to the photo studio called One Digital Solution at Ara Damansara for the photoshoot at 2pm. There were other pretty girls for the shoot too. Couldn't help pondering about how my body is bigger size than them(since I'm not petite) and how my features are a bit flat. Okay, okay. Away please, negative thoughts.
Changed into white tops, make up by professional artist, hair style by the hairstylist and then I went for the shooting time. Because it was for a skincare product, it was only a close up/half body shoot. I have one problem which is my eyes. The photographer asked me to control and soften my eyes because obviously my eyes is popping up too big for my face. I have learn how to control the muscle around my eyes. LOL. It was not easy, I tell you. I thought I did pretty badly, but the beauty editor said I got a few good shots. So I just hope for the best and can't wait for that issue.
It was a pretty good experience for me. Everyone, the beauty editor, the staff, the photographer, the make-up artist and the hairstylist are so nice. I'm so blessed. What's the better way to celebrate my birthday by having my fav mag beauty editor to wish me happy birthday in advance? LOL.

Maybe someday I will visit Paris.
It used to be my ideal vacation location.
But after hearing some bad experiences from my friend during her trip to Europe, it sort of shaken me a little.
The older generation thought that she is a prostitute because she is a Chinese. LOL.
And most of them stare at Asian like they have grown two heads or something.
Ah, well.
Ah, well.
But still, I do hope someday I will have a trip to Europe.

Dumplings.
Eat any dumplings today?
The best dumplings I have ever tasted was made by my late grandma.
Nothing can compare to that.
Too bad we cannot turn back time.
But somehow, every time I think of dumplings, it reminds me of grandma.
So, I guess it is a good thing.
I do miss the moment I stayed with her and all those delicious dishes cooked by her.

/ Outing with the Girls
On last Sunday, I spent the whole day at MidValley with my ex-classmates from my college, Peggy, Veronika and Valerie and also Valerie's sister, Violet. It has been one year since I last saw Peggy and Veronika(the last time was in 2009!)
While waiting for Veronika to come, we went for a session of Chatime. Chatime is this really famous pearl milk tea that cause raving among my friends.

We used to hang out together all the time and also in the same assignment group during college.
For those who always hang out at MidValley, it will be no surprise that there is this huge ship with pretty cool deco like those stones around it on the ground floor in conjunction with, of course Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Amazing huh? Anyhow, I have an confession to make... I never watch the movie sequels before. Oppsie!
