Monday, February 28, 2011 / A Blessing
My second baby nephew has arrived safely to the world yesterday morning!
The new addition to our family!
Received a call at 5am in the morning from my bro-in-law. I was so blur because it was 5am that I forgot to congratulate him. My sister gave birth around 3am something. I am glad both the mother and son are safe. After a moment of blurriness, I passed the phone to my mum for her to congratulate them. Even though I can't see him in person, but I can't wait to see the baby photos and the growing up process.
adorable little baby boy
His elder brother and also my first nephew, Kelven is already 6 years old!
How the time flies. I am already an aunt to two little boys. *gulped* Aunt sounds a little bit old eh?
Anyway, rest well, sis and do take care!

Monday, February 21, 2011 / I hate Email Scam
I don't know what happened to
Hotmail nowadays. Each day my mail is
bombarded with all this spam and scam. If only all of the mail are not fake, I might become a
billionaire!

#
1 I didn't know there are so MANY people working in the bank.
Most of them work in
Bank of Africa,
Ouagadougou Burkina Faso like Mr. Usman Rameez, Mrs. Jamilia Jude, Mr. Kabiru Oumar, Mr. Ibrahim Arwan, Mr. Bello Adama
#2 I'm so flattered that every one of them want to transfer MONEY to my account.
Just because the customer is dead and don't have the next kin since most of them die in a plane crash anyway!
#3 Most of the money belongs to DEAD people or dying patient
Alrighty. They are all so rich. Free money people!
#4 Most of the people died in a crash(some of them even provide website for you to surf but it happened like 10 years ago)
For example, air crash on 31st July 2000
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/ world/europe/859479.stm
There are all type of crashes such as bomb blast crash on July 2003, Siber airline crash into sea at Israel on 4th October 2001, Benin car crash 2006
#5 I didn't know I have so many dead relatives(since I'm the nearest person to their deceased customer)
Such as Mr Andrew Eich and Mr. Andreas Schranner. Since when I have non-Chinese relatives? Haha.
#6 They are ill and dying and want to give me money to help others such as the less privileged ones
(a) Mr. Asaad Hamoud, 59 years old, married but his wife and children died in a car accident two years ago while on holiday in Egypt. Have lung cancer and two months to live.
(b) Mrs. Alizeta Gando, 52 years old, widow. Suffering from pancreatic cancer and have less than six months.
(c) Mrs. Bena, 50 years old, married with two children(but both her husband and children are dead), having cancer, only few weeks to live.
Oookkkayy. They are old, widow, sick and dying.
#7 They are searching for lifetime partner or wife
Mr. Anderson Smiths, engineer working with an oil company in Spain, married but wife passed away two years ago. Intend to invest money to hotel and housing estate in Thailand. Searching for an Thai lady to become his wife. Asking me if I'm capable of being his
THAI WIFE. (I have to LOL at this).
They usually requested you to give them your
personal details including bank account number in order to get the "
MONEY". Right. I hope nobody falls for this
scam thingy. I have blocked most of the email sender but there is still new one coming in everyday. I wonder when will this stop??? Hope Hotmail can improve their email security.

Monday, February 14, 2011 / The V-Day
Today is
Valentine's Day, where you can feel the love is in the air everywhere. Honestly, I still think it is a
waste of
money to buy expensive
flowers (can we called them the victim of valentine's day?!) or
chocolate on this particular day. Perhaps it is much more useful to invest in another type of gift that the price doesn't increase because of this festive.
Red roses to show how much you love her (reaallllyyy?)
Chocolate to melt your already melting heart
Anyway, why make a big fuss out of it? (Haha. I know what you are thinking. "You are single and miserable, that's why you said all this".) And no, I just have this thinking that everyday can be a Valentine's Day if you want to. Why just today, right? :)
I used to dread it when Valentine's Day falls on weekday during high school time. I don't know do every school do this kind of stuff or not, but in our school, there is some committees of some sort that have this program where you can order flowers from them and they will send the flower(s) directly to the girl that you like in the class. So, of course those girls with a lot of admirers will receive a lot or those girls who are in relationship while I can only watched them with little green monster on my shoulder because I will never receive one. Even though there is part of me that know I won't receive, there is another part of me wish there is some miracle somehow someone send it to me. LOL. I know. I was so lame for being miserable for this.
As the years go by, I have treat this particular day as just another common day. Of course, I am not anti-Valentine's Day or what. I do feel happy for my friends who enjoy their Valentine's Day. So, Happy Valentine's Day to those lovey-dovey couples out there and not forgetting, my single friends as well :D

/ Chinese New Year 2011
Chinese New Year has been pretty bored for me as I spent the time celebrating it in KL with my dearest mum. Since I don't have any relatives here(*gasp*), I have been spending a lot time in the house.
mummy <3
with my one and only beloved mummy
I did went to LCCT Terminal airport to send off my cousin back to Miri.
with cousin Chyi
I do feel sad that I cannot meet up with my high school mates and also attend the wedding dinner of one of my high school mate. But it is fun to browse through their photo album in FB to look how they celebrate Chinese New Year in Miri. I really cannot believe how we have all grown up and some of them are already married, planning to get married and some of them even have kids already. It seems just like yesterday that we are a bunch of high schooler, wearing pinafore, talking about crushes and homework. But I am really happy that some of them have found their soul mates!
Anyhow, as we grow older, the amount of red packet (ang pao) has obviously decreased :'(
How many ang pao have you receive this year? :)

Tuesday, February 1, 2011 / The Heroes - Behind the Scene
This post is dedicated to the people I have known during my 2 years and a half(maybe more than that) in university during the exhibition week. If only I manage to take picture with everyone but it kind of hard when not all of them come everyday for the exhibition. Friends come and go, but the memories will never fade.
(I grabbed some of the photos from Thomas Wong, Chong Wen Ling and Cindy Liew)
Some of the group photos during the last day of exhibition. Too bad not everyone is inside.
First, I will introduce my friends who like me came from TARC and study here.
We sort of do things together all the time. People always labeled us as "KTAR people" or "those people from KTAR group"
(Ugh. I didn't manage to take photo with Fishball! :'( )
The super talkative and fast talker, Eric Chang, the chairman of the exhibition.
The gentleman and a passionate photographer, Thomas who likes to shoot pretty girls ;)
The ambitious and top student, Kenny, Head of the Creative Department.
Mischievous yet kind hearted Bear.
Petite and happy-go-lucky Rachel.
The helpful and gifted illustrator king,
Kok Liang
The confident and imaginative Valerie
The imaginative and creative Siew Yin
Part of my classmates in T2
The funky Gemini, Cindy
The bright and cheerful girl Wen Ling.
The handsome and subdued Ken
The tall and slim girl Meliss, my class rep.
The naughty and witty girl,
Uree
The strong and hardworking Ping, the witty and joker Khor.
Friends from T1 class.
Bear x Kian Jin x Me x Fishball
The talented multimedia freak, Kian Jin
Kian Jin is from my hometown Miri too. The only Mirian in my batch.
Bear x Kok Liang x Kian Jin x Me x Fishball
The thoughtful and nice Yoke Chin
The pleasant Samuel, the vice president of exhibition
The demure and nice girl, Elice
The friendly Swim(Hui Chee)
The fearless Lily(Gaga)
The lovely couple, Orange and Little Worm(Zhen Hong)
The cute girl, Seoh Fang
Hello and bye!
To all my classmates: All the best in your future undertakings!
Hopefully we can meet soon someday :)
