For Chinese New Year this year, I spent a lot of time with my family and relatives. I didn't get to meet my friends. But I did ate a lot of delicious food in Miri. Food I haven't eat for a long time. Let the photos do the talking, alright.
Hello, there!

And now the food...
Mee kolok!
I'm sure every Sarawakian will miss this all time fav food if they have been outstation for a long time.
Fried kueh tiaw wet (with tomato sauce)
Sweet potato and yam with rojak sauce
Orange/mango pudding @ Double Star Cafe (It does sounds weird but it was quite nice)
Kueh Chap
I will definitely miss the food.

This year, unlike the previous year, I went back to my hometown with my mum to celebrate Chinese New Year. Instead of direct flight to Miri this time, we brought tickets that need us to stop at Kuching(transit) for around 45 minutes and then only fly back to Miri (I didn't brought it purposely, of course. It is because of the costs and the time. But, indirect flight is so troublesome.)
As soon as we reached Kuching International Airport, we were told that there was some technical issues with the plane that we sat before, therefore we have to change to another plane which require us to wait for 2++ hours! It was scheduled to depart at 12.35pm from Kuching but it postponed to 3.00pm. Well, it was frustrating. But flying with Malaysia Airlines(MAS) has its benefits too. When we were told that the flight time has been delayed, they gave each of us a Marry Brown voucher for free lunch at Kuching International Airport. We can only choose from 3 types of meal set. So I choose this one.
The rice tasted digusting(like it was cooked with too much water) and the fried chicken was so oily. Yikes.

So, that's how I spent my first day of Chinese New Year. Walking around and waiting at two different airports, with heavy luggage. Hope it's not too late, but Happy Chinese New Year to you all!

It was my company's annual dinner(celebrating 16th anniversary) on the 15th January 2012, Sunday. The event was held at RedBox @ The Gardens.
We were divided into 4 teams(we picked the team by drawing lots) and we have to dress up according to the theme. Glitz and Glamour, Sports, Sixties/Seventies, and Teddy Bear. I was lucky (*cough cough*) to pick Teddy Bear.

Each of the team have to play some games and activities to determine which group has the top score and win prizes.
Everyone have the chance to participate in the lucky draw session. It has several categories, those who work less than one year, those who work more than one year and so on. Of course I was in the work less than one year category. And I got RM150 and voucher!
RM150 cash and Jusco voucher worth RM100
We bagged the second place and got RM600!
